
By far, the most efficient way to train, is under the supervision and assisstance of a personal boxing trainer who is adept at training men, women and children of all ages. We make trainers available to you at all times. They will direct your workout without being overbearing. Time permitting, they will offer to hold the focus mitts for you for a few rounds as well.
For a really intense workout, consider a 30 or 60 minute personal training session. During this period, your trainer will be dedicated to your workout alone. They will both push you to your limit and help you avoid an injury while doing so.

Having grown up with boxing being a big part of his family because of his pro fighter grandfather, Nicky began boxing at a very young age. He began competitively fighting in his mid 20’s, and after a successful amateur career, his trainer decided to turn him pro. As a professional boxer, he has trained and sparred with some on the best fighters in the world.
During his career, Nicky had the opportunity to fight in some of the most famous venues including The Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. and at Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J. He has been fighting professionally for 8 years, posting a record of 5 wins and 1 loss. Nicky’s most recent fight was in January of 2012, where he defeated Cesar Gonzalez in front of a packed crowd at the Staten Island Hilton Hotel .
Nicky has currently put his boxing career on hold to tend to his busy boxing gym. His main priority is ensuring that all members receive the best training experience that a gym could offer.
A dedicated trainer and energetic cardio kickboxing instructor, Courtney is great at inspiring her clients and takes pride in pushing them past their safe zone. She has been a fitness enthusiast, dancer and athlete her entire life and continues to challenge herself by training and competing in races such as the New Jersey Half Marathon, The Spartan Race and The Rugged Maniac just to name a few. Her health and fitness education makes her a knowledgeable and detailed oriented trainer & instructor.
Courtney teaches the Cardio Kickboxing Class every Tuesday and Thursday night at 8pm. This non-stop class includes a little bit of everything: bag work, cardio, circuit training free weights, buns and abs. Courtney is open to suggestion, willing to work on specific requests and warmly welcomes new clientele. If you are interested in intense body sculpting and diversified training, Demarco’s Cardio Kickboxing is the class for you.
Brooklyn native “Irish” Johnny Turner, a welter weight contender in the late 1970’s who fought regularly at Madison Square Garden, began his amateur boxing career in 1971 and turned Pro in 1975. In 1979, he was rated 5th in the world in the Elite Welter Weight division. He has an impressive record of 50 Professional Fights, 42 wins, 2 draws, 6 losses, and 32 knockouts. In 1979, Johnny fought then champion Wilfredo Benitez.
John took a break from boxing in 1979 to pursue an acting career. He landed the coveted role of Laurent Dauthille; a French fighter, in the “Raging Bull” movie with Robert Deniro. He now resides in Tottenville, Staten Island with his wife of 28 years Roseann, is father to Danielle, 28 and Christina, 25 and grandfather of Sienna, 2 ½. Danielle won the Amazing Race All Stars in 2007. Both daughters share their father’s love of boxing and train regularly at Demarco’s Boxing Gym. Sienna is part of the “Toddler” division at the gym as well.
Tony DeFeo, is a professional personal trainer, certified with the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). He has been an athlete his entire life, participating in football, running, cycling, western boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, brazilian jiu jitsu, grappling and MMA. Tony has trained hundreds of clients, both fighters and non-fighters, of all ages. He has trained at the Smyrna Police Athletic League (TN), Guardian MMA(TN), Universal Boxing Gym, NY Sports Club, LA Fitness and Atlas. He is currently training clients exclusively out of Demarco’s Boxing gym.
